-WHY HAPPY HOUR?-
January 20,2016
The simple answer is we realized weddings are costing you an arm and a leg, and some of the budget-friendly options being marketed to you (especially on the design side of things) are a little outdated, dare I say, a little (a lot?) cheesy.
Don’t get us wrong, we love a homemade, from-the-heart wedding, no matter the size of the budget or caliber of floral design, and by no means are calling anything less than professional “cheesy”. If you are the type who has an eye for design, an open color palette, best friends who will dedicate hours (many more than you will account for) assembling your bouquets and reception floral from bundles they picked up from the farmer’s market in a just-picked, less-than-professional but nonetheless charming design, do that!
Taking on a floral arranging project in what is often a stressful few days before your wedding is not for the faint of heart, and has almost never (despite your flower fantasies) provided a calming presence in this lead up. It’s far less glamorous than most envision, but it is a labor of love, and we would never try to discourage anyone who is passionate about rolling up their sleeves to handle, arrange and really get to know their gorgeous blooms from doing just that (flower-nerd alert).
However . . . our guess is that some of you are not itching to do this work yourselves; you simply can’t find a budgeted option you trust will reflect your style which is where Happy Hour comes in.
Happy Hour was designed to accommodate those special events deserving of special adornments. We don’t want you to skimp on flowers for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, engagement, or anniversary party. Instead, we want you to get the good design and quality flowers a momentous life event deserves, at a lower cost.
How can we do this? Well, each of our four Happy Hour collections has it’s own money-saving master plan, but let’s start with A la Carte.
Here we have all your wedding essentials: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, and a few flower crown styles for good measure. You choose the individual pieces you will need for your event, we tailor these pieces to the style you have described, using any provided images and Pinterest boards as inspiration; you choose the colors, vase, and ribbon. And then we handle all the rest.
